Sharp returned to France with a smartphone 3D

After LG and HTC, it's time for Sharp to offer a phone without 3D glasses. With originality to convert any 2D content into 3D in real time.

Android running 2.3.4, the Aquos SH80F Phone features a large 4.2 inch touch screen with a resolution of QHD 540 x 960 pixels. Above all, this screen provides the ability to toggle the display in 2D or 3D, at the option without having to wear 3D glasses. For this, the screen uses LCD technology with 3D parallax barrier developed by Sharp. The manufacturer is a pioneer in this field after a first 3D phone introduced in Japan in 2002!

The scope of 3D Button
This is the first phone market to convert a push of a button any 2D content in 3D in real time. Specifically, it is possible to see 3D movies stored on your phone or streaming from YouTube, playing 3D or make a slideshow of your vacation pictures in 3D. Even TV can be viewed in 3D: the Sharp Aquos TV Orange embeds the application with more than 70 channels, football matches in Ligue 1 and Orange Cinema.

Nobody can view your screen

Sharp has added a very clever little feature to the phone: it is possible to activate a privacy filter called Veilview. It prevents people who are on the side to see what you see on the screen by hiding the screen with a frame. A handy feature to prevent your neighbor's prying in transport take your film over your shoulder or looking your SMS.

It is also possible to create your own 3D content through two 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, while retaining the ability to adjust the 3D depth. In video mode, the camera shoots in 1080p in 2D and 3D 720p. Next processor, the power is there with a 1.4 GHz single-core Qualcomm. Storage is provided by 2 GB of internal memory expandable with microSD. Orange has some memory preloaded 3D games: Need For Speed Shift 3D and 3D Sims 3 (trial version).

According to Jean-Marie Culpin, marketing director of Orange, this phone has three strengths compared to LG and HTC Evo Optimus 3D 3D: a better screen, 2D/3D conversion in real time and "it hurts less to head than others "!
